If you have not yet paid your dues for 2008, please fill out the application & renewal form, print it, and mail it with your check now.  SHA depends on your dues to finance publications, the annual conference, and other important activities.

Beginning with Vol. 12, the SHA journal, Hawaiian Archaeology,, will be published in electronic form as .pdf files, and posted on the SHA web site.  Back issues are being scanned and will be posted as time permits.

NEW:  A "Miscellaneous Stuff" page has been established, devoted to diverse contributions from our membership, including otherwise unpublished papers, published papers, reviews, databases of interesting stuff, etc. The first contribution is Thorium-230 coral chronology of a late prehistoric Hawaiian chiefdom, a paper in press by Marshall I. Weisler, Kenneth D. Collerson, Yue-Xing Feng, Jian-Xin Zhao, and Ke-Fu Yu.

The SHA web pages are undergoing some reorganization.  Hopefully, any inconvenience will be short-lived.  Thank you for your patience.

Review Draft Curation Guidelines
The SHA ad hoc Collections Committee has completed a draft of the Guidelines for Curation Standards & Procedures for the state of Hawai'i. We welcome your review and comments.

This web site was originally developed by Leslie Hartzell and Shannon McPherron in December 1999.  It was given a new look, but retained most of its original structure and content when it was moved to its new server location in March 2001.
